Job Placement for CDL Drivers

Learning from Instructors Who Know the Industry

Starting a career in trucking involves more than learning how to operate a commercial vehicle. Our instructors come directly from the trucking industry and share real-world insight with students throughout training, including conversations about the types of driving opportunities available after earning a CDL.

Students also have access to an employer job board featuring companies that are actively hiring CDL drivers. This helps students stay informed about potential opportunities and understand what employers in the industry are looking for when hiring new drivers.

Because CDL drivers are needed across many industries, a CDL can open the door to more than traditional long-haul trucking. Drivers may choose over-the-road travel, regional routes, or local positions depending on their interests and preferred schedules.

Exploring these options helps students understand the many ways a CDL can be used across different industries and work environments.

Training Trusted by Industry Employers

Many companies across a wide range of industries send their employees to Idaho CDL Training for professional CDL instruction and skills testing. We work with national, regional, and local employers who rely on our training programs to prepare drivers for roles in transportation, construction, agriculture, energy, public services, and other industries that require commercial driving.

Some students arrive already connected with an employer who is supporting their training. These employer-sponsored students complete the same training and testing process while preparing to return to work with their company after earning their CDL.

We are honored to train employees from industry-leading companies that trust Idaho CDL Training to provide professional CDL instruction and testing.

Truckers Against Trafficking

Truckers Against Trafficking

Helping drivers recognize and report human trafficking on the road.

Professional truck drivers play an important role in helping to combat human trafficking across the United States. Programs like Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) help educate drivers on how to recognize warning signs and safely report suspicious activity while on the road.

Many states now require Truckers Against Trafficking training as part of the CDL licensing process.

Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to educate, equip, empower, and mobilize the trucking, bus, and energy industries to help combat human trafficking as part of their everyday work.

This free course teaches drivers how to:

  • Recognize the warning signs of human trafficking
  • Understand situations that may occur at truck stops, rest areas, and travel centers
  • Report suspicious activity safely
  • Contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline

We recommend completing the Truckers Against Trafficking online course through cdlonline.com. The course is free, recommended for all drivers, and included automatically with the ELDT Theory course available through our CDL Online training partner.
